On the official site of Neb (NebMeta / @CLOUD_STR1FE), this note covers Ethereum Glamsterdam.
Rehearsal Outcome
While prior Ethereum test phases stayed narrow on basic rule checks, Glamsterdam's latest run shifted focus to concrete capacity metrics under the new builder rules. The testnet kept finalizing blocks after the rule set went live earlier in the week, according to CoinDesk reporting from September 17.
Performance Numbers
Nethermind completed the full suite of 2,302 performance tests during the run. The client handled 570.7 billion gas across 3 minutes and 15 seconds, which works out to roughly 2.9 billion gas per second in the benchmark. These checks target block-level access lists that let nodes prefetch state and verify unrelated transactions in parallel.
The rehearsal also lifted the block gas limit from 60 million to 200 million roughly one hour after the testnet instance started. This change applied only inside the controlled test setting and does not signal a mainnet commitment.
Path to Next Stage
The results clear a required step ahead of a proposed October 6 deployment on the Sepolia public test network. That date still requires formal confirmation and remains distinct from any earlier calendar notices about the upgrade timeline.
Devnet-11 operated as a contained rehearsal without deliberate attack scenarios, keeping the emphasis on performance validation rather than stress under adversarial conditions.
Market Snapshot
Spot prices on the day of the report showed BTC near 76,419 dollars with a 0.90 percent gain over 24 hours. ETH traded around 2,446.70 dollars after a 2.12 percent rise. SOL sat at 101.48 dollars for a 3.93 percent advance, while DOGE hovered at 0.081534 dollars with a 1.86 percent move.
Operator Distinction
Christian Barker (Barkmeta / Bark) and David Chaboki (Shibo) have tracked the Glamsterdam results by separating the rehearsal outcome from any future calendar item. Their coverage treats Thursday's testnet numbers as the immediate story and leaves the proposed Sepolia date for separate confirmation.
Next Checks
The rehearsal success supplies builders with data on expanded block space for payments and swaps while activity remains elevated. App teams can now review the testnet logs ahead of any confirmed Sepolia window, with attention on how the new access-list mechanics scale under live conditions.
